A warm welcome to St Lawrence C E Primary School & Little Lawrences - Napton from Mr John Brine the Head Teacher. St. Lawrence is a very popular village primary school that thrives on its close links with the church and the local communities that it serves. St. Lawrence’s is now joined by the newly built ‘Little Lawrences’ (opened by Bishop John Stroyan in Dec ’09) It provides excellent care and education to children of preschool age (3 in the term of entry) in an Early Years environment run by highly experienced and committed staff). It is then always our pleasure to see our children grow up and leave as 11 year olds to further their education and personal development with a high degree of confidence. A lively, creative curriculum, great teaching, new facilities and equipment alongside high expectations, ensure that children who learn in St. Lawrence’s do so with a smile. The importance of manners, politeness and a willingness to take responsibility to both help themselves and others is never underestimated. All of this in a Christian context means that St. Lawrence’s is a warm and friendly place to both work and learn in. Our children are happy and they love to learn at our school as is so evident in the pleasing attainment and improvements that they achieve. In this term, we will be focusing on the importance of water, learning about space (we will be having a big Space Day during the term) and appreciating the value of thinking and reflection. There will also be plenty of Maths, English, German, French, ICT, Science, Art and Sport amongst other things to keep us all very busy! This school is a thriving place and we are aiming to provide outstanding learning opportunities for all of our children. We love the extra curricular clubs that over 90% of our children make use of. We also really appreciate the tremendous support that the parents and wider community give to the children at our school ….it makes it a special place to learn in and very much worth your while coming in to see for yourselves.
Do enjoy exploring the website and get in contact via e-mail, telephone or by popping in!
